Hola! This is T'ien-Hsiang Kao (高天翔). I am tienhsiangkao at Github. You can also reach me via email for any reason. I try to contribute to cmmunity by striving to make people's lives easier and better. I believe software is the most effective way to touch others' lives in our day and time.
I mostly work in Fortran and MATLAB (Octave) on Windows and Linux, dabbling in Mathematica, Python and R, while I eager to taste OS X environment either til I have enough bucks. I do not pigeonhole myself to specific languages or frameworks. A good developer is receptive and has the ability to learn new technologies. I also often contribute to open source projects and beta test startup products.
I enrolled a scientific calculation workshop by Prof. Wai-Sun Don in summer 2015 majorly on WENO (weighted essentially non-oscillatory) scheme for hyperbolic PDEs. At that time, I read a book called Some New Methods on Computational Fluid Dynamics (in Chinese) by Liu and Shu, realizing there are numerous obstacles in numerical solutions, though we now depend on them largely.
